Visual and product design both, not one dressed up as the other.
Fourteen years in, I've never seen a reason to pick a lane. Most recently, that's meant leading product design for Xfinity: untangling permission logic, keeping multi-platform products coherent as requirements shift, and making complex technology understandable. I care just as much about the people I work with, and some of my best working relationships have long outlasted the projects that started them.
Outside of work, I run a kennel of 26 sled dogs in rural Washington. If I'm not at a desk, I'm probably outside with the team—and there's a decent chance I still smell like it when I get back.
